About Cafe Q

Cafe Q is intended to be a site where gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transexuals can meet, share and organize. Straight persons are also welcome, but please keep in mind that at least 99+% of the people here are gay and looking for relationships and activities with other gay persons.

Anyone can browse our site and look at all the events, group discussions, photo albums, videos and other stuff.  If you can't post your profile, you can still find lots of activities in the LGBT community which you can participate in.

Not a Hook-Up Site: This is a site for networking, sharing information and participating in group activities.  While we are happy if the site serves to bring people together in romantic relationships, it is not a sex hook-up site. If you are simply looking for a partner for sex, please use the personals on Craig's List Sacramento or one of the many online dating sites.

Membership is Free:  If you are a member you can:

• Post your profile
• Ask other people to be your friend
• Exchange private messages with your friends
• Upload your photos
• Have a personal online blog or diary which others can read and comment on
• Start a group discussion or participate in one
  
• Create an event and post it to our calendar
  
• Join any of our exciting special interest groups
  
• Create a special interest group (SIG) around your hobby or area of interest

If you represent one of Sacramento's many LGBT organzations, you can:

• Create a profile for your group with a blog and photo album
• Create a nonprofit organization group (NPO) for your organization
• Post all public events of your organization on the Cafe Q Calendar
• Have a discussion group limited to members of your group or open to the public
  
• Send email messages to all members of your group

To become a member:

• Read the Getting Started and Profile Guidelines first.  They will give you a lot of good advice on filling out the profile form which you will have to do to complete your registration..
• then, click on the Sign Up link at the upper right corner of any page and begin filling out the information for registering and posting your profile.
