Slow down and enjoy life; take a passeggiata.
In the fast paced world we live in today, where beepers (if you’re old school), SmartPhones,
dumbPhones, and portable mini-computers are constantly buzzing, digitally singing, or ‘you’ve got mail-ing’ us to be somewhere, we really need to…

Just got back from a Leather function with the local Leathercorps tonight with a lot on my mind. And reading some writings from a fellow Leatherman, I had to put fingers to keys and get some things out.
The week has been a trying one.
After getting back from an intense and enjoyable retreat among queer veterans in the wilds of Utah, the past few days have served as a period of readjustment to life back here. Among the world. There have been times when I wished I could be back among my veteran…

A while ago, it seems, I found myself questioning my actions before acting. Mapping out almost every possible outcome like a "Create Your Own Adventure" novel. Most of it was due to the uncertainty of myself, my inner being, a deep-rooted insecurity that seemed to blossom its thor…

There are times when the itch to gear up comes up and I find myself reading books pertaining to the Leather community as bedtime reading over a week's course. This has been one of those times.
Tonight, the local leathercorps will be holding the inauguration of their new board. I'll be attending as a member which, in a way, just blows my mind. Seriously, there were many, many times when I felt like I just didn't have the moxie to join up with something like this. But, here I am.

How I came across the leather path is something I've not pondered on much. Mostly because the dissection and analysis take the fun out of the whole thing. What matters now is feeling connected to the leather community and I am taking it slow.
Speaking from my own experience, one cannot delve wholly into the leather community without first knowing oneself. To me, leather…

Okay where are all the ladies?
Wouldn't it be fab-u-lous if there were more females here?
Hmmmm....
If everyone told someone of the female gender (lesbians of course) about this site we might be able to even the ratio out.

I first got into the Sacramento Farmers Market scene in 2003 after I retired and rented an art studio at 10th and J Street in downtown Sacramento. Kitty-corner across from my studio was Cesare Chavez Plaza and I soon discovered that it was host to a vibrant Farmers Market every Wednesday. I also discovered that the Westminster Presbyterian Church, which was just a couple of blocks across the Capitol grounds, also had a bag lunch concert every Wednesday at noon.
So my schedule was set. Ev…
